TAMPA, Fla. - Tradesmen for Triumph (TFT), founded as a Facebook group connecting Florida homeowners with contractors that now has over 5,800 members, is preparing to mobilize its network of contractor crews starting as early as Thursday to help victims of Hurricane Idalia.
Hurricane Idalia, which is expected to make landfall Wednesday morning in the Florida Panhandle before hitting the Southeastern U.S., is the current storm threatening the region.
TFT originally started as a grassroots Facebook group after Hurricane Ian led to urgent demand for reliable contractors. It quickly went viral as storm-weary Florida homeowners shared their positive experiences.
Now, as Hurricane Idalia threatens more devastation across the Sunshine State, TFT is once again marshaling its resources to help victims pick up the pieces.
"We understand how devastating these storms are for hard-working Florida families," said TFT President Brent Taylor. "Our contractor network is ready to jump into action with quality work, integrity and efficiency."
TFT ensures its contractors are licensed and insured. The member-vetted group says it stands for quality work, safety and community service.
"By bringing contractors and homeowners together, we can restore stability faster," Taylor said. "It's the Florida way - we take care of our own."
Storm victims can visit TFT's Facebook page for real-time updates, submit requests and check on contractor availability in their area. With over 5,800 members, TFT provides a vital lifeline for Florida's recovering communities.
